Services: Assessment for adults

Hazel is a psychologist and clinical registrar with a strong interest in Autism and ADHD assessments for adults.
Hazel has a particular interest in working with individuals whose experiences may have been overlooked or misunderstood, including those who have learned to mask or compensate for their differences over time. She recognises that many neurodivergent adults, particularly those with high-masking or internalised presentations, do not always fit stereotypical profiles. Her approach places careful attention on the individual’s internal experience; how they think, process, and navigate the world, alongside observable behaviour. This is informed by emerging research highlighting the impact of masking, camouflaging, and internalised expectations, which can obscure neurodivergent traits in traditional assessment contexts.
She works from a neuro-affirming, strengths-based framework, with a strong emphasis on clinical rigour and diagnostic clarity. Her assessments integrate developmental history, clinical interview, behavioural observation, and standardised tools to form well-supported conclusions. Whether or not a diagnostic label is given, Hazel’s reports always provide a rich psychological explanation of your experiences and demonstrate a deeper clinical understanding of neurodiversity which is guided by both empirical research and lived experience.
Hazel aims to provide a clear, meaningful understanding of each individual’s profile, including both strengths and areas of difficulty. Her reports are detailed, practical, and suitable for NDIS, workplace, and study accommodations, with recommendations tailored to real-world functioning.
